Hello,
I recently heard about the Senate Page Program and am really interested in applying for summer 2017. I have a genuine interest in politics and government and this program really caught my eye. I am currently a high school junior in Texas and was wondering if anybody has had any experience or could give me any advice concerning the topic.
I’m just a bit worried about just how competitive it is. Unfortunately, I am kind of low in terms of extracurriculars - I lived in the U.K. and Singapore for the past 6 years and moved to Texas over the summer in the middle of high school. At my other school, I was on the rugby team (both at school as well as at a club), French Honour Society, and was an officer for the school’s environment club. Academically, I am doing very well and am not too concerned about it.
Anyways, could anybody give me any advice or info about becoming a Senate Page, whether it be about applying or just the overall experience? Anything would be appreciated. Thanks!
