I saw that on Wesleying!! So cool. I love that Wes alums make a difference in the world in more ways than being photographers/running nonprofits/etc (even though I love those too).

I love reading stuff like this. I’m really happy that liberal arts graduates are doing so well nowadays.
My parents were really iffy about Wes at first because it isn’t all that well in California. They would have rather had me go to USC or UCLA. When I was accepted ED, my dad was showing his friends my acceptance letter (I’m first generation and he is SUPER excited about me going to college). He showed his boss (The “big guy” at the car company he works at) and he said, “Oh, my granddaughter went there. It’s a beautiful school. Great choice.” My dad couldn’t have been happier. Now my parents couldn’t be more excited about me going to Wes. They even keep bugging me to buy them Wes gear. :)

Awww that’s such a nice story!!
I always feel good when my parents get to “brag” about my college acceptance to people too. They seem pretty happy with it :)

as a recent alum, it’s encouraging to see Wes grads go so far in life. I saw a picture of Michael Bennet and the resemblance to Doug is just unreal!

Bennet’s not a bad answer to the question: What can you do with a B.A. in history from Wesleyan?
