can someone tell me which score i should send?
june 08
composite:33
eng:32
math:34
reading:33
science:32
writing:9

OR

sept. 08
composite: 34
eng: 36
math:35
reading:35
science:31
writing:6 <----:(
I really need to know soon for my apps. Thanks!

34 because of the higher composite. Colleges only care about the composite.

Definitely send the 34. You have amazing scores in 3 subjects on that test.

thanks for the advice! anyone else?

Composite>Individual Sections>Writing

That's how colleges view your Score Report, so they won't care too much about writing when you composite is already really good.

Send the 34. The 36 in your english should more than make up for that 6 in writing. Higher math composite too. Congrats, great score.

I had 12 Writing in June and 8 in September, so I definitely think we should be able to carry our Writing scores over. I got 11 both times on the SAT, so maybe the ACT essay needs some tweaking.

thanks everyone! i really appreciate it.

any last opinions? i was thinking about sending in both, but would it cost more?

send both. duh.

I second lulumobile's advice--send both. They are both excellent scores, so it won't hurt you in any way to send the lower composite, and the higher writing score will be reassuring for the admissions people to see. I don't know if it costs more....seems like it would be easy enough to check, though, on the website(?).

both would be good.. both are great scores, and they'll see that the 6 on writing was maybe a fluke

Send both for sure

I'd send both if possible. If you can only send one though, send the 34.
