I took an AP exam last year and had it sent to a certain college. It turned out that I got a 1 on that exam.

A year later (this year), I sent a cancellation report to CollegeBoard so that score can be deleted from my record. Will the college that I sent the score to the year before still have my bad AP score even though I cancelled it with CollegeBoard?

I’m not sure, but I can tell you that AP scores are not as big a factor in admissions as most students seem to think.

I’m just not sure whether to report the bad score or not when self-reporting my AP scores.

I wouldn’t bother reporting it, since it won’t help you in the admissions process.

This particular college says that you have to put down ALL of your AP scores when self-reporting, so I don’t know whether or not to report the bad score because I’m not sure if they have it or not.

Every school is different so I have no idea what the policies are with yours. What I can tell you is that my kid did very well in his AP’s but decided not to report many of them because he wanted to retake the classes in college so that he could truly master the material. Yes, my kid is unusual. But the AP’s were not a factor in his college admission and it was entirely up to him to report them or not based on if he wanted to get out of certain classes. He goes to one of the top engineering schools in the country and they are quite strict with regards to entrance requirements. Hope this helps.
