Send ACT, SAT, or both?

I will be applying to schools including Dartmouth, UPenn, and Columbia this upcoming year.

I received a 2250 (740 W, 730 R, 780 M) on the SAT and 34 (36 E, 32 R, 31 S, 36 M) on the ACT.

So my question is whether I should send either the SAT or the ACT, or alternatively both. I feel like my ACT score is more competitive, but I'm hesitant because of my low sub scores on the reading and science sections. Could anyone give me their opinion on the matter? I'm grateful for the help.

Your SAT is more impressive because it’s a 1510 out of 1600 which is what the admissions board will give more weight to. That being said, I would submit both. A lot of applicants can get a 34 or a 2250 but not too many applicants can do both. It shows that you are able to perform well under varied circumstances.

Def. agree with brand new. You should send both. It wont hurt you.

Both. No doubt about it. Are you planning to apply early in any of the listed schools?

thanks for the advice, everyone. @overachiever01-i’m leaning towards Columbia ED

Don’t lean, make the decision. You won’t go wrong with Columbia ED!
