Send ACT, SAT, or both?

I will be applying to schools including Dartmouth, UPenn, and Columbia this upcoming year.

I received a 2250 (740 W, 730 R, 780 M) on the SAT and 34 (36 E, 32 R, 31 S, 36 M) on the ACT.

So my question is whether I should send either the SAT or the ACT, or alternatively both. I feel like my ACT score is more competitive, but I'm hesitant because of my low sub scores on the reading and science sections. Could anyone give me their opinion on the matter? I'm grateful for the help.

I would recommend sending in both. I don’t remember if the schools you mentioned do, but I know a lot of colleges say they will only consider your superscore on one, if not both, of those tests. Even if that’s not the case, a score of 34 is still good enough that a slightly lower score in two sections won’t hurt you

Personally, I’d consider a retake of the ACT. IMO, the quality of the science section is extremely inconsistent. That 31 could easily get to a 34+ with a different passage. And with score choice, the September testing can be a no-brainer.

Sure, 34 is good enough, but higher is always better. :D
