Hi, between my sophomore and junior years in high school, I took the following SAT IIs and received these respective scores:

World History: 800
Chemistry: 790
Math II: 780
Literature: 750

Should I send in all four of these scores? The math II is certainly below average for Princeton applicants, I think, and i only took the lit subject test to validate my B in AP English. Thoughts, anyone?

Your scores are high. Math II isn’t low for Princeton applicants. In fact, due to the curve, it could mean only one or two incorrect questions. Literature is a little low, but a 750 certainly validates a B.
“Applicants who intend to pursue a B.S.E. degree should take one SAT Subject Test in either physics or chemistry and one SAT Subject Test in mathematics (Level I or II).”
If this applies to you, I would send in the World History score along with the two required tests. If not, I would send in your two highest scores. They are all good scores, save Literature (unless your strong point isn’t Lit, and then it would be a fantastic score).

Thanks! Yeah, my teacher thought I would fail the AP Lang AND the SAT II, so that should give you a general image of my literature abilities :)

Certainly send your top 3 scores as they are all fantastic. I don’t know how you did on the SAT or ACT, so I’m not sure whether it makes sense to send the SAT II Literature score.

dfm0361: I received a 790 on SAT CR and a 5 on AP Eng Lang, if that makes a difference.

@noreally: I don’t think you have a problem with choosing what scores to send in. I’d recommend that you concentrate on other areas of your application. Most people aim for these scores, so if you send in the 780/790/800, you’ll definitely (in that area) be a very competitive applicant.

If I were you, I would send in the top three. Same as everyone else has suggested.

Can using Score choice and not sending ALL scores have a negative effect on you? I mean, can colleges see you didn’t send everything and assume your others scores may not have been good, even if the ones you send are really good? Thanks

Send in all your scores. They looked pretty similar to mine (800/800/780/740) and I think my SAT Subjects is a huge reason I got in.

Thanks, randombetch!
