When a college asks you for all your ACT scores if you have 3 scores and 2 are very low for the college but your las test score is within range, how badly does that affect you?
Colleges assert that they do not hold lower scores against you. They will either use that test with highest composite to determine admission or some superscore ACT’s and use the highest section scores from the combination of the tests.
@drusba Okay thanks. I heard that they ask for all test scores to see who is naturally smart etc. So a 28 wouldn’t hurt me AT ALL if you score within range next time?
Colleges evaluate you based on your highest scores. You can take the SAT four, five, six times until you get whatever score you want (though you should be refrained from that by taking prior TCB-published practice tests and a bit of common sense on where you’d spend your money
)
If you believe colleges are telling the truth when they say they will use your highest scores and not hold lower scores against you when you submit multiple tests, the answer is the 28 will not hurt. The problem many applicants have in that situation is convincing themselves that the colleges are not bold-faced liars, but they really are not.
