Hi I was wondering, if you are trying to transfer and the application says, "Send transcripts from ALL the schools you attended" Does this mean I have to call EVERY school I attended that differ from the one I am attending now--including the one I attended while studying abroad? Also, what would happen if I do that--meaning I only send in the transcript from the school I am attending now because the credits all transferred to this school anyways, so wouldn't it get sent in anyways? (plus, it's a big issue with the payment to request transcript...i have to send payments and wait for it a while until it gets processed...//)

btw, since the application deadline was March 1, I already submitted the transcript [only] from the current school.

thanks in advance!

If your current school’s transcript shows all of your previous college coursework, give the transfer schools a call and ask them if it will suffice.

Whenever you apply for admission to any accredited college or university in the US, you are obligated to provide official transcripts from every single accredited college and university in the US that you have ever attended.

In my case, this now means that I have to send transcripts from seven (yes, 7) different institutions some of which I attended more than thirty years ago. The last time I had to order transcripts, I asked for five sealed copies from each place and I keep them in a file drawer at my home.

It is not enough to have the US credits appear on your current transcript. The college/university will need an original official transcript from the place where you earned the credits. I do not know about the international transcripts. Pick up the telephone, and call the colleges/universities that you are applying to and ask. They may accept your current university’s record of these courses for admission purposes now, but still need an original copy for your permanent file if you are admitted.

Good luck!
