Hi, I'm a deferred SCEA applicant. After receiving my deferral, I did not immediately email my regional admission officer because I didn't think it would be prudent if I was not adding to my application and I'm sure they get tons of emails talking about how much we still love Harvard and why Harvard is still our #1 choice. It wasn't until recently that I had things to add to my application (an internship and confirmed National Merit Finalist standing which I realize isn't that big of a deal, but hey, it's something). Would it be okay for me to email now or is it cutting it too close to the application-reviewing? Or should I just not even bother?

Just send it! I mean, you won’t have anything to lose. If they take a look and decide to give another chance then great. If they just ignore it, then what? It definitely won’t hurt you so, just send it. The decision comes out in late March which means that they are still going over applications.
