This was posted in the general admissions forum, but I thought I'd ask here since it relates specifically to Stanford. Should I send in an additional activities list? I don't mean pages and pages of EC's and awards won, but rather a few paragraphs elaborating on the activities listed on the app. I hear you get like 30 characters online to explain each activity, which to me seems like a tiny amount - how are you supposed to describe something really important to you in so small a space?

Stanford says specifically on their application not to send additional pages or separate activity lists. They seemed really adamant about it, so I didn't send in my activity list when I applied even though I had prepared one. I was accepted. I'm not sure if anyone who ignored them (and sent the activity list in despite their warnings) was accepted. Good luck to you.

Sending it would just show that you can't follow simple instructions...

Paper app. gives you a little more flexibility (no character count) - use it if you must ;)!
