Send in supplement before common app?

I've been thinking.....

The NEU supplement is really short, no extra essays or anything... so I'm already done with it now. So theoretically, I could already send it in and they would see that I'm interested. How do you think that will look for a college, if I send in my supplement a few weeks before the common app? Or is it best to wait and send them in around the same time? They already have my scores, cause I used the free score reports, since I was pretty confident the scores would be good enough for NEU.

Advice? Should I send in the supplement now or wait?

It’s fine to send the supplement as soon as you are ready. It does let the school know you are interested. That alone won’t give you a leg up in the admissions process, necessarily. But, sometimes it will put you in a position to get invited to a reception in your area or other events where you can meet admissions representatives in person, and that can help your application.

Thank you!
Have a nice day! xD omgsuchalamejoke

just found my applicant checklist i picked up when i visited the campus in august. says “Completed Common Application and NU Supplement submitted simulaneously”. guessing that means i can’t sumbit the supplement that far ahead, but thanks anyway.

Have to send at same time per their instructions!

During Open House, I asked them what they thought about the fact that I sent in the supplement already and not the Common App and they didn’t care that much.

hmm… i think i’ll just stick to their instructions to be safe.

i submitted the supplement a week before the common app and i got an email from NEU saying “we got your supplement, please send in ur common app by nov. 1st” and i did and now i’m just waiting till december

no biggie if you do it now
