Send in the SAT or ACT?

The Brown website says,
"Brown requires every applicant for admission to Brown in 2012 to submit results of either the SAT Reasoning Test and any two SAT Subject Tests (except for the SAT Writing Test), or the ACT taken with the Writing Test option."

I'm applying there early decision, but my SAT scores aren't too hot:
710 Reading; 760 Math; 720 Writing = 2190
and Biology M 630; Chemistry 620; Mathematics Level 2 680

I'm planning on sending this non-superscored ACT score:
35 English; 33 Math; 35 Reading; and 36 Science = 35; 9 in Writing

So when it says either or, I'm hoping they'll only look at one, or they'll be kind of confused with my score discrepancy.

I already sent my SAT Subject Test scores because I thought they'd be much better at the time. Should I call their office and tell them to ignore them? & then not fill in the SAT part of the Common App?

(I just can't take the SAT... retaking it won't improve my scores)

Your ACT is amazing… what’s the dilemma?

College will not comply with any specific request to ignore a score so don’t call.

With Brown, if you submit ACT, SAT and subject tests, it will choose which it thinks is better for you, the SAT plus two of the SAT IIs, or, alternatively, the ACT. Thus, you do not have a real downside by also sending that SAT which is actually pretty good. If you do not send any SATs, only the ACT will be considered for admission without the subject tests.

Op you are confusing me; if it says “or” why r u sending SAT in?

No college in the US requires you to take both tests so why do you think you are required to send in BoTH the SAT and ACT?

So there is no benefit? The Common App asked for both and I’ve always been encouraged to do both. Woot. No SAT for the win.

@ the confusion, SCORE DISCREPANCY. I don’t know if I would get the effect of a 35 on my app if it came with an untranslated 2190 with average subject tests.

I’ll update the post when I call the admission office tomorrow, and try verify what drusba said  5884 posts = questionable reputability.

What drusba said is right on +1.
