I am currently applying as a community college transfer student to the College of Engineering (mechanical engineering declared major). I know transfer admission is still very competitive. However, I called the college and they informed me that they don't consider letters of recommendation for undergrad students. I read a lot about people including letters of recommendation in their application packages, so was the person I talked to mistaken? I have many teachers whom I know would write me a good letter, so it would be an advantage to me.

Anyone know the kind of GPAs required to be competitive for an AA transfer into an engineering program?

Also, just a rant, I can't beleive UCF doesn't have electronic transcript transfers OR an online payment system. How archaic. I took a few classes there immediately after high school.
