<p>If looks can be placed on a 1-10 scale, send in a picture if you’re a 7 or above. It won’t make much difference if you’re a 4-7. It will hurt you if you’re a beast, or a 1-3 on the scale. Humans prefer good looking people. It’s germane to our species. Study after study verify that people equate goodness with good looks. That’s true even in children.</p>
<p>If you look like an evil villain (redundant, I know) or a non-human life form, I wouldn’t send it. Me… I didn’t see any applications ask for it. I wonder if it’s a good idea to send it…</p>
<p>You guys are fooling yourself. The only reason they give you the option is to basically say “If you claim you are a URM - Prove it.” There is nothing more. Do you really think the adcom is looking to see a picture of you? Christ, they could go online and see millions of pictures of teens if they wanted to. If you are a URM I would highly suggest sending the photo.</p>
