<p>Hi there. I was just wondering: (if you are applying to Vassar) are you sending a picture of yourself with the application (it's optional, for those of you who haven't gotten to that part yet)? I'm kind of torn about this and would love some opinions. On the one hand, I like how it will put a face on an application. On the other, I think it's kind of odd and am just not sure how I feel about it--especially since I'm not a supermodel of anything. :D</p>
<p>I am torn as well - I like the idea, but I hate looking for good pictures of me. They are a scarce commodity.
I think it's a bit scary though; I mean, the admissions office will have to look the (mostly smiling) people whom they will reject in the eyes...
To answer your question; I will probably do it. It makes it more personal, and it shows them you made the effort to find a good shot... ;)</p>
<p>just do it.. i mean it isnt like they are going to reject you beacuse of your picture! however, i do understand the insecurity</p>

<p>i sent a pic with my app, and i think it helped a little bit, i looked optimistc and like a hippy, and i got in.
