Send SAT/ACT scores

Hey guys,

hope everyone's college app process is going well :)

So anyway, I plan to apply early action to UVA and W&M, I'm in-state. I took both the SAT and ACT my junior year and my scores were pretty bad. 1680/1140 CR&M and 26. Obviously those scores are low for both schools. I plan to retake the SAT and ACT(maybe?) again this Oct. Since I will get the scores around the time my apps are due, should I just send out both even though they only ask for one?

Anyway, thanks for the advice in advance.

No, don’t send both scores if they are lower than the college’s average. Check an SAT/ACT comparison chart and determine which score is higher, then send that one. Colleges take a “hit” in their statistics when they accept someone with a lower than average score. If you send both scores, they will be taking a hit in both their SAT and ACT acceptance rates.

What’s your GPA? You could probably get into another school such as JMU, GMU, CNU, or maybe Tech if you have a good GPA.
