Would appreciate advice…My senior has a 35 ACT and 1500 SAT but didn’t prepare well for the SAT subject tests and got scores that will not be submitted (and is not going to take any more). Applying to LACs in the 5-35 range, none of which require or recommend SAT subject tests - all either optional or “considered”. Question is, even though the ACT score is better than the SAT, should senior submit both given the lack of other standardized test scores (through subject tests)? Did not do the essay for either SAT or ACT but not applying anywhere that requires the essay.
No reason to send both if the school takes either, send the highest of the 2. The only reason I could see to send the SAT score would be if he received an 800 (or maybe 790) on one of the sections and that section is more directly related to their major.
Send the higher score set. Don’t worry about not sending subject tests if they aren’t recommended or required.
If they only require/expect one set of test scores then sending one set of test scores would not be a “lack of standardized test scores”
The SAT would just be discarded/ignored, so there’s really no reason to waste the money to send
