So I took my SAT I in October and will take my SAT II in November, and I thought I sent scores the other day. It allowed me to do the combination this:

Sending Scores

You can send your
upcoming registration
Nov 5, 2011

+
You can choose to send
your past scores
Oct 1, 2011, May 7, 2011,
Dec 4, 2010

ALL selected scores will not be sent until AFTER your Nov 5 test scores are available.

**But then when I came back to check the Oct score said it hasn't been sent yet, yes, it says above that they will not be sent after the Nov scores are available but shouldn't at least it say that it is being sent and doesn't allow me the choice to send it? It says that I can still choose to send scores AND I have to pay!

Do I have to send scores again?

Another question, I learnt that the universities don't like rush scores, I am applying UPenn ED, Chicago, Virginia and Michigan EA, should I just not rush scores to those?

Thanks! Please I am getting scared the deadline is already over!

What you did was go into your Nov test registration and identify colleges to automatically receive scores when that test score comes out. Though it allowed you to designate the October score, those will not be sent until the Nov score comes out. If you want to send Oct scores separately you need to go into your Oct registration for the test and order them sent at a price of $10.50 per college because that would not be a free send.

Be aware that for Mich, you may now be out of luck for EA because it wanted everything including test scores sent to it by no later Nov 1 but you can still try to order it sent today and maybe you will get lucky. For Virginia if you send today, you should be fine. Penn and UChciago actually accept through the Nov tests for their early programs so what you did should be enough but would suggest you send scores to UChicago now since it neither requires nor recommends SAT IIs.

Your absolutely right, I just sent in my scores, is there really no leeway for Michigan? And it takes 2 weeks to process! Did I miss out all my ED/EA then? I am really sad now because of the missing the Michigan deadline!!! Did I really miss it?! I still can’t get over it! I know the admissions office says that’s the deadline, but with all the commotion, will they overlook it?!

Mich is an unknown since the EA process itself is new but I would guess you will probably be OK if it gets there by mid-Nov. Understand Mich has only a psuedo-EA. It actually has rolling admissons for which decisons will start rolling out in Dec. All EA does is assure you get a decision (admit, decline or hold for later) in mid-Dec. However, those EA applicants and anyone applying now could get a decison even before mid-December. All EA does is assure some notice in mid-Dec whereas under its regular rolling admissions you can get a decision anytime from Dec to April and they just don’t notify if they are holding on you until later.

With the others you mentioned, as I mentioned you are fine sending scores today.

I don’t get how the SAT scores take so long to process-- isn’t it just digital? I thought Michigan’s EA process has already been running for a few years. Anyway, thanks! Fingers crossed I still get in for EA because I am preferred admissioning-- is that a word?! to Ross.
