Send sat scores?

I have heard mixed things about sending standardized scores to Bowdoin. On the one hand, they claim that these tests are limited in their value and therefore it is optional as to one chooses to send them. On the other hand, I have seen posts here that indicate that all things equal, those who send them in will get the edge. Apparently many still send them in and many are stellar.

The conflict occurs due to a low critical reading score (620)… Math is 780 and Writing is 790. And before you suggest ACT, the same occurred there (Reading: 30, Math 34, Writing 35 and Science 24). Consistently struggel with tests which require reading passages under time constraints and then answering MC questions.

ECs are excellent…national and international experiences/recognition…
President of Student Council…Key Club…
Recs are great as essays.

Do I send standardized testing??? How much of a penalty would that result???

you should send them. the 780 and 790 outweigh the 620, imo. a 2190 is above the average of what bowdoin accepts, so while most accepted students probably had a higher critical reading score than you did, they probably had (maybe significantly) lower math and writing scores.
