Only one school that I'm applying to requires two subject tests (unlike most people on here, I'm not aiming for the Ivy's or anything). Only a couple others say that they recommend sending in one or two, or they simply recommend sending in "all scores." What about the rest of the schools? I did a pretty good and above averge score (630) on my Lit., but Math I was terrible. So obviously I won't send my Math I to these schools, but is my Lit. good enough to send along to competitive schools (schools like NYU, Emerson C, American U are just some that don't require II's that I'm applying to).

What do you think I should do? Do most people send out there II's anyway?

I know my scores are considered crap on here because everyone seems to get 700+, but again, schools like NYU, BU, and Emerson C are my high matches/low reaches.

Thanks for your time! All answers/replies/suggestions/etc. are welcome and much appreciated!

NYU: pointless to send; test requirement is met by sending either SAT OR ACT OR three SAT IIs OR three APs. Thus if relying on SAT, IIs now mean nothing and if you want it to consider SAT IIs you need to send three so you can be considered for admission based on the IIs rather than the SAT.

BU: it requires two SAT IIs so you do not have a choice

Emerson: Does not use IIs for decision to admit.

American: recommends two IIs but will consider one if sent although 630 not likely to have much impact but probably send.

Thanks for the info drusba! I knew much of that info but it was still helpful!

GreedIsGood… ok you might want to lie down for this one… 500 crawls under a rock in shame
This is actually quite odd because on the SAT I’s I got a 580, which was my worst score for the I’s. Again keep in mind that the colleges I listed are pretty much the most competitive ones I’m applying to.
