I made a 730 on the Math II and a 680 on Biology. I know those are low for Harvard, so should I still submit them? They are only recommended, but I know that almost everyone else will have them. Would sending them hurt more than not sending any?

My SAT is a 2280/1600 and my ACT is a 35 and I am sending both.

This is Harvard’s first year of not requiring SAT Subject Test Scores, so no one knows how it will (or will not) impact a decision. Harvard made the tests optional because the added expense of the tests was thought to be a burden for some students, but that wasn’t your case, as you took the SAT and ACT and are submitting both scores. Bottom line: your 730 is fine; your 680 is 20 points on the low side, so I would submit both scores.

In addition, if you input your ACT – based upon the ACT/SAT Concordance Table:(http://www.act.org/aap/concordance/pdf/reference.pdf) – AND your Subject Test Scores to the above Academic Index, you have a high score AI. So, no worries – as your scores have met Harvard’s threshold – your acceptance or rejection will now depend upon your teacher recommendations, guidance counselor’s Secondary School Report (SSR), essays, and EC’s. Best of luck to you!
