Send Thank You Notes???

Have you all sent thank you notes to your admissions officers? If yes, did you do so in the form of a letter or an email?

I didn't. blushes WHEN I do, I'll send it by email or I'll just do both (to make sure they get it). :D

How do you know who your admissions officer is?

My admissions officer came to my school so that's how I know her name, but I think I am just going to send a thank you to the admissions committee as a whole since all of them took the time to read my application.

I contacted her because I had a question about my application. She gave me her email address.

You're ... supposed to send thank you notes??? Seriously? No one I know does that ...

Yeah I had no idea thank you notes are something you do...

Yeah, I gave thank you notes/gifts to my recommendation writers and all.. and I wrote a letter to one of the admissions committees of one of the schools I turned down... hm.. I didn't realize people wrote thank-you letters, though I suppose it's thoughtful.

My counselor suggests Thank-you notes. My mother also said it would be polite. -_-

I need to write notes to my rec-writers. But the admissions counselors? Why? It's not like they're doing us a favor by letting us in ... they choose for the good of the school, not for our good.

i've tried, but the phone # doesn't work anymore and it kinda sucks. i wanted to thank my interviewer.

I was planning to send nice thank-you-but-no-thank-you notes to some of the schools I turned down that offered me scholarships, but that could just be because those schools and I are in the South and that's Just What We Do Down Here :)
I haven't decided whether to send one to P'ton (I don't really know any of the admissions people). I did send one to my interviewer, though.
