send update on new achievements?

<p>Since Stanford doesn't have a mailing label specifically for this, and they seem strict about not wanting extra material, is it reasonable to send a brief (~250-300 words) letter (without any label) informing them of some recent awards and research?</p>

<p>The other option is to include the materials in the midyear report.</p>

<p>I'm wondering the same thing myself...sort of afraid to send them anything else though, since they specifically request that you do not send "unsolicited materials"</p>
