Send updates?

How should I send updates?

to your app? I had to notify that my counselor sent a supplementary letter of rec and fix some things that got cut off. I sent the info to apply.questions@yale.edu.

Wha!? Are you meaning to say that you can amend minor errors on the app you sent? I missed that the last 2 lines of my ShortAnswer were cut off… any chance I can email Yale my full 150word?

No, I’d like to send some additional information.

If I were a admissions officer, I would be annoyed at people sending additional updates or minor corrections on the application. If yale keeps allowing that then its mailbox will be filled by hundreds of update emails.

Unless it’s something very serious, I wouldn’t recommend doing it. It might not be in your best interest.

If only a few words got cut off, it’s a no-go, IMO.

The effort it would take them to transfer the new writing to your file, and read this part separate from the rest of your application, would probably annoy some adcoms.
