Send your SAT scores to your high school or NO?

I wasn't sure whether to put this in the SAT section or High School Life, so I'll put it in both.

With the SAT coming up on Saturday, I was wondering what you suggest as far as sending your scores to your high school. I was told that I should un-check the box on collegeboard, so that my high school doesn't get my scores and thus they don't go on my transcript if they are low. Therefore, I can pick which scores I want to send (I know, it costs extra) to colleges when I apply next year instead of all of them being on my transcript.

Opinions?

Go to your counselor tomorrow and ask whether or not they go on your transcript.

If they do, ask them if you can remove them in case they are bad.

Either way, the colleges will probably see them so I don’t see the big deal with them going on your transcript.

I’m really confused. You send colleges your scores, but wouldn’t they see it already if you send it to your school? What exactly is the reason for sending your scores to your school?

^ They get sent to your school for free- some schools put scores on transcripts.

So if my school puts my scores on my transcript, then that basically means i’m sending my scores to colleges for free?

No. Most colleges require that you send your actual SAT scores to them.

When you request for transcripts to be sent at my school they have a box you check if you want them to send SAT scores on the transcript or not. Many college, as romani said, require the official transcript. So, to be safe, I would say check don’t send them to your high school.
