Sending 1st Semester Grades

Final 1st semester grades at my school are finally out, should I have my counselor send them to the schools I'm applying too? I might also be applying to some rolling admissions schools later on, and my counselor did already seem pretty annoyed when I asked her to write the recommendations and didn't send them in for a really long time (and was pretty annoyed when I reminded her about them) I don't know if I should ask her to send the finalized transcripts/report out...

Yes. But since you no longer need recommendations, perhaps someone else can send the transcript . . . school registrar, perhaps? And make it easy - give them a big stamped envelope!

OK Thanks! Would schools care that the school registrar sends it? They should still sign the flap of the envelope right? But just that and nothing else?

That’s absolutely okay. At my child’s school, the counselor wrote the recommendation, but then handed it off to the registrar, who put it in the envelope with the transcript and sent it out. Now that the recommendation is no longer needed, there’s no reason at all for the counselor to be involved.

And I wouldn’t worry about “signing the flap” - as long as the school is mailing it out directly, you’re fine.
