Sending 690 Maths II score to good colleges

Hi, I'm applying to norhwestern, Boston U and Vanderbilt for engineering.
They say Subjects tests are optional.

I took Maths 2:690
and Physics:720

I'm sending Physics to them, should I send maths too? Cause I'm not happy with the score and I can't take it again.

And normal SAT score is 2030(CR:610 M:780) 1390/1600

Thanks

A 690 only puts you in the 62nd percentile. I don’t recommend it. Your physics score is in the 66th percentile and I wouldn’t particularly recommend sending that either.

Keep in mind for comparison that your SAT CR score is 82nd percentile and your math score is 99th percentile.

Thanks Pancaked!
I’ll keep that in mind for my other colleges (:
The thing is I just sent them my physics along with the normal SAT this morning.
I don’t think there is a way to change it now, is there?
No big damage done there, right?

Thanks again (:

My CB score sending status is still pending, is there a way I could change the order?

TBH your test scores are very low for Vandy and Northwestern. Those subject tests are basically on-level with your SATs and both aren’t awesome, so it doesn’t really matter what you send. You may have a good shot at Boston U though.

I pretty much agree with unicameral2013, although it might be a little different with solid essays and if you are an URM.

In terms of BU though, I think you have a pretty good shot.

Here’s your problem. Not sending physicial science-math subject test scores is a red-flag for engineering progams. Nearly every other applicant to a top engineering program will have a Math 2 score, and if they want to be competitive, that score will be 700+. (Heck, my lit-focused son easily cleared 700 on math 2.)

IMO, you have no choice but to send both scores. At least the physics score starts with a 7.

The 1390 is low for Vandy, which has been quietly chasing higher test scores over the past 5 years, and prefers to see applicants with a 1400/32. Also low for Northwestern.

I hope that you have some safeties. Good luck.

Hey thanks for the help, guys. I will be taking my SAT’s again in Jan so if they consider those then that’ll be great. I’ll just send it to all the colleges I’m applying to and will do way better this time!

Thanks again, just finishing off some apps now!

Hey guys, I know I’m asking questions at the eleventh hour now but any suggestions for upper end safeties?
