Sending a Resume along with the CommonApp outlining aforementioned activities?Feedbak

So is it a bad idea to restate many of the activities in a Resume that I listed in the activities section, just so that I can elaborate? I wouldnt restate my explanations from the CommonApp, I would just elaborate on them so that I can paint a better picture. What do you guys think???

Thanks!!

that can be annoying. i would only do it for a very high leadership position so they know what you’re role is.

I don’t think that it is a bad idea to send a resume. You can flesh things out quite a bit and add detail that is not on the common app. I would use it for major activities or activities that you are passionate about.

My so attached an “Activities Profile” with four sections. It was four pages, I believe. Maybe three. I can assure you - from his outcomes - it did not hurt him whatsoever, and I would venture to say it helped his applications.

I did the same thing. I don’t think it’s necessarily redundant; the Common App provides a concise list, a “refresher” of my activities, and the resume provides the full information.
