I just realize there is no place on the application to attach a sample of my writing. That doesn't seem quite fair, theater majors get to audition etc. My grades are fine and my SATs are high but my greatest strength is without a doubt poetry. Is there some way to do that? I asked at my tour and they said I could but how?

When D applied (EA), she did the online application. She also snail-mailed the Admissions Office a hard copy of the portfolio she had put together with some of her newspaper clippings and photos and a supplementary recommendation that she had gotten from an Emerson alum who works for a major network who is a family friend. When we went to the November Open House, she also gave a CD of the portfolio to the acting head of the journalism department who moderated one of the workshops. She was accepted, and hopefully (keeping our fingers crossed about the financial aid) will attend in the fall. Good luck!
PS - Just remember that anything you send should have your name and ss# on it in case it gets separated from your file.
