Sending ACT Score Directly

I need some advice regarding the ACT. I have taken the ACT without preparation in my junior year and received a 30. I want to take it one more time in October after I have prepped sufficiently. I will apply in September (in-state) and send my current score. Should I have my score sent directly to Michigan (i.e. at registration I put Michigan as a school) or should I wait to send my score until I see what it is? I know Michigan does not accept rush scores, so I think it would take a lot longer for my score to arrive if I don't send it directly. Is this true?

I am almost positive I will score higher, but I may not. What should I do?

Send it directly; unless you're an underrepresented minority, this score won't put you into scholarship range, and a lower score won't hurt you at Mich. The only thing you'll lose if you wait is money, and you won't gain a thing.

What kind of ACT score would be considered scholarship range for Michigan and what kinds of schoalrships are we talking about sonar??? Thanks!!!!:)

Unless you are a minority, I would say 34+.

coupled with a 4.0.

I don't know how out-of-state works, or even if it is a separate pool in terms of scholarships, but for in-state, each lsa scholarship I've seen was 34(33, aussi?)+ with an unweighted (I assume Mich) 4.0--rank means absolutely nothing!

There are listings of different scholarships here.

Hmmm...I'm not really looking for any money. Plus, I definately not in the running for a scholarship.

So, anyone else have an opinion on sending directly? If I score lower I won't be looked down upon?

I don't think you will...most schools at least say that they only look at the highest scores.
