Sending ACT scores help please!

Okay well i took the ACT two times. 1 in October and 1 in December. I havent sent any ACT scores yet and my December ones aren't ready yet since I did standby testing.
I need advice on what to do please, should i wait on the December ones to come? (i dont want to be late)
Or do i just send in the October ones and the December ones send on their own
im confused

What were your scores in October?

I got a 24 on my october one

If you’re expecting to improve quite a bit on the December one, I’d wait for the December scores as long as it’s listed as an acceptable testing date where you’re applying.

As long as the schools take the December date, having them come in a few days late probably won’t be a big deal. The most important piece to have in on time is your portion of the application, because that’s what you have the most control over. There’s usually a bit more leeway with standardized test scores and recommendations.

For example, Emory didn’t receive my ACT scores when I sent them, and it ended up being a few weeks after the deadline before this became apparent (because of the delays in the status checking systems). When I contacted them about it, it was fine, and I ended up being accepted anyway.

Oh okay this helps a lot, most likely ill just wait then.
And what do you mean my portion of the app is most important, by that do you just mean my whole application that was due Nov 30?

Yeah, the part that you fill out with all the information and your essays. If it was due Nov 30, are you sure they take the December testing date? If they do, it’s already after their deadline and waiting to send them is definitely not going to be a problem because they’re going to expect them to come after the deadline.

Yeah on the Application it asked if i took the ACT and i put yes in october and i manually filled in my scores. Then it asked if i was taking a future one and i put yes in December. The problem I’m having is with the official score reporting to each college. And do you have to send both ACT scores to UC’s? because i had to send both for my SAT

I have no idea how the UC system works, sorry. It’s probably all explained on the standardized testing section of their website(s).
