Sending ACT scores to universities

So today I filled out a few ACT papers, and was debating on whether I should send my ACT score for free, with maximum of four universities. I decided to do so, bubbling the code for Michigan State University, University of Michigan- Ann Arbor, University of Wisconsin- Madison, and Pennslyvania State University- University Park.

I'm still wondering on whether I made a good choice, given that I don't do well on the ACT as I would have liked. What would be penalities for this? Do you think I made a good choice? How will they look if I did bad on the ACT, but recent a good score?
Any extra advice/ comments are welcome.

Also, I'm also thinking I would have liked to send my score to University of Minnesota- Twin Cities.

…Opinions?

My sons had similar concerns when they took their ACT’s, so they opted out of sending any scores when registering (did not even name his h.s. either in case they put the scores on the h.s. trancript which some do). We figured having the choice to send the scores if they were good was worth the additional cost involved. At that point we paid to have them sent to the h.s. as well. If you do send them, I believe most schools will look at the highest composites. Good luck!

I thought similar as well, thanks.

More comments are welcome.
