Here is my dilemma. I am going to apply to Michigan LSA ER. As of now I have taken the ACT 3 times, with composite scores of 30, 30, 32. I am taking the ACT again on October 27(?). Here is my question. It says on the Michigan website,
"If you have taken the ACT or SAT previously and are taking the test again in October, you must send in your previous scores to complete your application. Once your new test scores from the October exam are received, we will add that information to your application and consider that in the review process. On the day of the test you must indicate that you want your scores sent to the University of Michigan so that we receive them as soon as the score is available."
According to this, I will send in my 32 Composite score to complete my application, and then I must put down Michigan as a recipient of my October test score. If I score less than a 32 on the October Test date, will it look really bad? Or will Michigan just overlook the 32 and take my best composite, the 32? Any help would be nice...

I'm thinking the same thing. Also, by the sound of those few sentences it seems as though they will wait until they receive your new ACT before making your decision, meaning you are no longer eligible for ER.....

I think they will just take the highest composite (and it's relevant subscores), no matter how many times you take the test.

I don't think they will hold your application until they receive the Oct. 27 score. It seems to me if you're applying Early Response, then they'll give you a decision, as promised, by 12/21.

Does this make sense?

Why are you taking the ACT again? A 32 is a nice score and certainly adequate of Michigan if your other credentials are good. My D's best ACT and SAT were from her first sittings.

i was told that they use your most recent score so long as they haven't already made a decision on you. but yes, you should report all scores, and they will take the highest one.
