BC requires that everything (including scores) reach the admissions office by January 1. My ACT Test date is not until December 12. While registering for the test, I did request that BC be one of the schools that my test results are sent to. I don't know whether it will reach the school on time.

I was wondering what I should do. I was thinking that if there is a slim chance or if there is no chance that the score will reach the college by January 1, I will send my previous score which is only a 24. What do you think I should do?

BC accepts through the Decmber test date. On its site it says:

“Applicants are required to take all standardized examinations no later than the December administration date of the applicant’s final year of secondary study. It is the responsibility of each applicant to have test scores sent directly to Boston College from the College Entrance Examination Board or the American College Testing Program by January 1.”

You need to have it ordered sent by Jan 1, meaning list it as one of the colleges to receive a free send. It can actually arrive after Jan 1.

If BC is typical of a lot of colleges, what happens is that during the first two to three weeks in January, they are just going about the process of putting everything in the computer files that comes in. About the last week of Jan, if something has not been received for a file, they send out a notice that they haven’t received something required and say you must get it in immediately. By then your ACT scores will have already arrived.

I was also worried. So do if I send my December scores by January 1 its okay? Does the same go for Cornell, UPenn, Boston University, Dartmouth, NYU, and Stanford?
