I gotta 34 on act (straight 34's across) and about a 2100 (780M, 680V, 660W) on the SAT, should I even send the SAT?? I don't have any SAT2's but the schools dont require them if I submit the ACT with writing.

Anyone???

Also I retook the SAT. What would be the minimum score that would make it worth sending. I think most my scores went up.

Brown - *
Georgetown - Needs SAT2's

Pomona - *
Northwestern - *
Williams - (Requires SAT and Two SAT2's OR Act with or without writing)
McGill - (will taken anything)
Vanderbilt - *
BU - *
Michigan - *

= (Requires SAT and Two SAT2's OR Act with writing)

also...my SAT without writing is a 1460...(I think most of my schools are officially "not looking at the writing section")
I have an itching suspicion this will break 1500 (i find out november 21st)

But the writing is a total crapshoot.....the first time i took it I got a 10 on the essay, maybe like 63 multiple choice, ended up with a 640. The second time I got a 6 on the essay, but perfect score on the multiple choice, and gotta 660. This is kind of a side question, but will they like combine my subscores for writing????

"All applicants must take either the SAT or the ACT (American College Testing Program exam), plus any two SAT Subject Tests of the applicant's choice. Students taking the ACT must also submit the optional Writing Test."

hmmm amherst is sounding good right about now
(nah even I"M not that lazy)

Any good suggestions for SAT2's

I was thinking
Math 1
Literature

I'm very strong in math, but due to my school having major issues, I never made it into pre-calc (although im doing well in AP physics....random)

The science I took last year (environmental) doesn't have a subject test (although I got a 5 on the AP)

I'm good in French, but I'd rather not go up against native speakers.

How different is literature from criticial reading???
