Sending activities resume?

How would I go about sending Pitt a summary of my ECs? On the supplemental information section I check off essay, letter of rec, and other, and the other I listed as an activities resume. How do I send it?

When my son submitted his Activity Sheet/Resume to Pitt he just sent an email with the actual Activity Sheet as the body of the email. His title basically said, “supplemental information for applicant (first and last name)”

Again, just cut and paste your listing of ECs. Pitt states that they won’t open an attachment. I think they said just to include your name and address at the top of the body of the email as well.

They sent an email acknowledging that they received it within a week or so.

Wow I just remembered I did not do this when I sent in my app last week. Thanks so much for reminding me. I dont know what I would have done if I wasnt accepted and I didnt send this stuff in. This board saves my life again ;)

I sent mine in an e-mail to the admissions office. like someone else said, do not attach a document. copy and past your activities into the body of the e-mail. write your name, school, date of birth, and address ( do not write your SS #) good luck!

I shoulda sent one, but I didn’t. I sent my application last week, but I didn’t check off “other” on the supplement. If I send them a resume anyway, you think they will look it over?

When we got a Pitt email confirmation that the application was received, a listing of the Pitt people processing the applications was noted (organized by the first letter of your last name). We contacted our ‘person’ by phone about information/changes after initial filing. He made note and had us send a follow-up email with the changes.

OneProudDad, I sent my application in yesterday, but I didn’t get that email you’re talking about. I only got a generic email saying I had sent my application. Do I have to wait till I get the personal email, or is there something wrong with my application?

Shadow, in a few days you should get an email saying youre application has been received and is in their system and it will give you a login and password to check on youre application status and stuff. That would be a sufficient time to send in that stuff :)

shadowzoid - On the day my daughter applied, she received a message titled ‘Thank you for submitting your application.’ Three days later, she got one titled ‘Your University of Pittsburgh Application.’ The second one gave her info to track her application as well as the contact list I mentioned above. I’d give it a day or two more.

Ok, i got that email. Who should I ask about sending an activities list? Should I email the general admissions office or what?

Also, how do I find out which of my documents they have received? I signed into my MyPitt account, and I went to self-service, but there is still no information.

Under self services there should be an admissions tab, and under it is application status.

For activities list, look on pitts admission page and find the section that has the persons email whos in charge of people with the letter of your last name, and email the stuff to him/her.

I dont understand the application status section. So far whats on it is the date i sent in my application and “High School Transcript” under “outstanding.” it also says my appliation is incomplete. It doesn’t say what they have. Yet, I KNOW they have my essay and recommendations since it was already in my application when I sent it. What gives?

I’m not sure what’s wrong with their computer system. I’ve already got my acceptance letter and it still says that my application’s not complete when I checked my account on the website, lol. You could just call the admissions office to see if they really do have your materials

Shadow, it means they dont have your transcript yet, or they just havent processed it. It took them a week after I sent my ACT scores until they said they received them online. Im sure if you called them, they could follow up on what they have and dont have. Once they process your application, which should be in a few days, it will say it is complete and from then it will be about 3 weeks, more or less, until you hear something from them.
