Sending additional info after applying

<p>If you already applied to a school but get a new honor or something relevant to your application, is it advisable to let the admissions office know? Or wait to use it if you get deferred or wait-listed?</p>

<p>Is it a regular occurrence for applicants to send additional information after applying?</p>
