I enclosed a small self-addressed and stamped postcard with every envelope that D sent to all her colleges. The postcard requested that the college to mail it back to her, a way to let us know that they received all the information correctly. It saved the worrying and stress wondering whether the materials got to the colleges or not.

But you didnt write anything else apart from the address on the outside of the envelope? Just thinking that putting my USC ID or something might help make sure it gets identified correctly and goes to the right place. On the other hand, I don’t know if I should worry about putting personal information on the envelope for the world to see.

The best thing to do is to follow the instructions from the USC Admissions website. They do not say to put anything on the outside of the envelope. Since that is not part of the instructions, just do it their way. Don’t worry- they’ve done this before- it will get to the right place! :)

But don’t worry if you already used the address you stated above. It will still get there. It all goes to the same place. Trust me- the system works and you don’t have to fret about this stuff. :)

DD did not put USC ID on her postcards. She basically printed out 20 identical cards with the different college name on each card. She used the computer software that came with her postcards.
