Sending ALL scores?

So I took the ACT 4 times and now that it is time for college I am wondering if I need to send all my scores to colleges (which would end up costing $36 per college which is ridiculous) or can i send them my highest score and inform them of my other 3 scores. My college guidance said that i must do the former because the schools want all my scores but i find that too be completely ridiculous because that would cost me about $300-360!!

Do you guys have insight to share for this situation?

Anyone???

When you send SAT scores through collegeboard.com, you can send all of your scores but it only costs you $10 per school (for all scores). They don’t charge you per score, just per school. I am thinking that the ACT would be the same? Cannot imagine that they would actually charge you per score – that would be crazy expensive.

@jkiwmom, the ACT’s different.

$10 a test only makes it worse

Most colleges that require full disclosure recognize the burden of paying for all the official reports. Usually they just ask you to submit an official score report for your best date and self-report the others.

I recommend checking the websites of each of the colleges to which you plan to apply to confirm their requirements. As it happens, my daughter is applying to six schools in four states; two are public, four are private. They all accept Score Choice, allowing her to send only her best ACT scores. I know this because I checked each website.

Schokolade - does ACT put together a report of just the best scores by subject or are you saying that your schools will accept the best composite score by test date?

The ACT only reports scores by test date. You choose which test date you wish to send.
