How do I go about doing this? Through the common app by assigning a new recommender?
Thanks

You can email it or mail it via post if you would like. But this is generally not encouraged. Unless the LOR says something about you that is from a remarkably different perspective than the previous ones, sending another LOR really just dilutes your application. They aren’t wanted, in general

The additional recommendation would be from an employer, while my first 2 were from teachers. it would be a different perspective. Is it still not encouraged?

A different perspective is a beginning, but note that T26E4 has a higher standard: a remarkably different perspective. Employers are not teachers, so naturally the perspective is different.

My questions would be, why didn’t you submit the additional LOR with your initial application, and what has changed since then? I know, a deferral, but that doesn’t call for a second bite at the apple, IMO. You might hurt your chances more than help them if you don’t have good answers to the questions.

As to the mechanics of doing it, I’m sure that you can Google it. For Yale, it was snail mail with a set of recommended information to be included at the top.

Good luck.
