Is it important to send a seperate extracurricular resume with the Common App, or any other application for that matter? I felt that the application gave me plenty of space to state and explain my major activities, and had I sent in a seperate sheet it would have been repetitive minus a few minor clubs, etc. Will they hold it against me that I did not send a resume?

Many schools actually prefer that you don't (some, like Columbia (though not a Common app school) say outright that they don't want one). The more concise, the better, generally speaking...there is absolutely nothing wrong with just using the space on the Common App.

If you're good with the Common App outline of it, then stick with that! No need for excess fat. :)
I found that it was easier to attach a resume because my activities/honors/work was much easier to display in my own layout.

Some schools like Stanford and UVA definitely don't want anything extra. You're better off this way.
