I'm taking 3 Ap tests this year and so far I've been putting Berkeley as the college to receive my free report
. Do the scores they receive affect admission at all?(I'm a junior)

Admissions at Cal is holistic - they look at everything they know about you and every detail - it isn’t a simple algorithm looking just at numbers. You will never know what caused them to admit you, but it could have been something like an AP score that tipped the scale in someones mind over to the plus side. Anything that might remotely be positive, anything that makes you unique, anything that shows commitment - always take the time to send it along.

Getting good grades is actually bit more important than AP scores for most schools out there. I mean, doing well in both can’t hurt by any means, but if you must choose between good grades and good AP scores, the former is your option. The AP scores are more or less a permission to skip courses and take more advanced courses as you enter college.

I shouldn’t say stuff like this in middle of the AP exam season, but I hope it’s not a grim reality to anyone. (especially for those who are not doing well in the class but aced the AP exam)

Yeah I totally understand the whole holistic thing and I’ve been taking care of that its just I didn’t know if sending scores could hurt/help me but yeah you guys helped!
