My counselor is suggesting that I send my AP scores to colleges now, as in before I know any application results since I've done so well on them. I was wondering if I would need to send them again after a college has accepted me (If they take AP scores of course) or if AP central will just update them since everything is electronic now.

Also with all these prestigious universities that don't even take AP scores, would it still be advantageous to send them an official score report?

Is there any way to just put them somewhere on my application, so that I won't have to send them out from collegeboard? Not just on the common app but for other schools like MIT who don't do the common app.

I suggest your counselor make a telephone call to the College Board and hear the answer directly from them, as I did.

**When you have your AP scores sent to colleges, the College Board sends them to the Registrar’s Office. The Registrar’s Office DOES NOT forward your scores to the Admissions Office, **but instead holds them until you matriculate so they can add the AP scores to your student record. If you pay money to the College Board thinking your AP scores will be sent to Admissions, it WILL NOT happen – that’s why you are supposed to self-report your AP scores.
