Sending AP Scores

Is it sufficient to self-report AP scores, as opposed to officially sending them prior to receiving an admissions notice? (Sending multiple scores to multiple colleges really adds up, price-wise.) In other words, does UVA use these scores as an admissions factor, particularly for programs such as Echols?

According to this thread self-reporting is fine. http://talk.qa.collegeconfidential.com/university-virginia/1670630-do-sat-scores-matter-at-uva-is-grading-done-on-a-curve.html

For admission purposes, submitting AP scores is completely optional. Admissions is not the office that will evaluate your AP scores for course credit.

If do you submit them with your application - even unofficially self-reporting - they will be considered.

Save your money on the score reports and only get the official scores sent when you know where you will attend and you need them for the course credit.
