I’m kinda confused. For UC schools, do you have to self report all your scores when you apply? Will it affect your chances?
Also, it’s like 15 bucks to send each test or something, will all UCs get it if you only send it to one? (Like how it is for the SAT)
THANKSS
- You self report AP scores when you apply and low scores will not affect your chance for admission with the UC’s.
- You do not sent the AP scores until the end of your Senior year to the school where you will be attending so you only need to send 1.
From the UC Website::::
Although the College Board reports all AP tests results to us, students should be aware AP test scores lower than 3 will not adversely affect their chances for admission.
What if you pass and do well on all of them? It won’t help either?
If you do well, then that is great and it shows that you can handle college level material. The UC’s will see your self-reported scores on your UC application, it is just the official scores are not needed until you are accepted since the scores will be used for college credit and not for admissions consideration. Your individual grades and course rigor are what admission officers are interested in with regards to AP courses.
If you send them to one UC, do all of they receive it? And do I have to send them each separately?
Why would you send them to more than 1 UC? You only need to send them to the UC you end up attending. You self-report on the UC application but are not required (unlike the SAT/ACT) to send them for admission decisions. If you want to send them to all the UC’s why??? you pay for each report separately unlike the SAT/ACT.
Oh so for the UC app I put down the scores but I don’t send them officially until AFTER I commit?
Yes
@Gumbymom if you don’t self report on the UC app and don’t pay the money to report it to the UC’s…can the UC’s still see your scores?
