Sending AP scores

Do we have to send AP scores to schools the same way we send SAT scores? Do we have to send AP scores, or will the colleges know our scores?

You can self-report AP scores (I think there's boxes on applications for them), but usually not more than 3 or 4. If you did well on a bunch of them, it could only help you to send them, but they're not required unless the school specifically says so. They're only required if you are accepted to the school and want to use AP credit for higher placement.

And you have to call a phone number or email collegeboard, it's on their website somewhere in the AP section. The procedure's pretty easy.

Wait so if I want to send scores, I just have to follow the same procedure as if I were sending SAT's? Will collegeboard send ALL my tests? I'm asking because I passed 2 out of 3 tests, and I got a 2 on the third one. So would I be able to just send 2 of them?

first of all you can self-report AP scores on the application - most schools only require you to send the scores officially for credit/placement purposes.

so in other words, you can leave out the 2 you got with no consequences - then if you're admitted, yes, the college board will send every score. but who cares? no school will withdraw your admission because of a 2 on an AP test.
