Sending AP Scores

I called a Columbia rep today, and she said to send an AP score report to the office of admissions. Considering I have less than a week before the app is due, and the College Board website says that "Requests generally take one week to process from the date they are received and cost $15 per report," should I rush my scores (2-3 business days)? I know Columbia recommends against rushing SAT scores, but is rushing AP's okay?

No. Do not rush. That's silly. Do you think your entire application will be read and processed on the first day? And even if it was, do you think they'd just throw away your AP scores if it was and no reopen your file? The deadline is less of a hard deadline than you think.

The Columbia websites says not to rush scores - something to do with how the scores are processed, I think.

In any case, you don't even need to send an AP score report. You can self-report, and your GC will probably include your scores along with his/her rec. Save yourself some money.
