I am currently working on my UC application. I know the application wants you to self-report grades and scores, but do I need to send them my AP scores as well? Or is self reporting all they need until you are admitted to a campus? And how do I send AP scores if they do want to see the official ones? I know you could pick one school to send them to when registering for the AP test but do I just contact College Board so they send my scores to the other schools on my list also?

self reporting is good, do not send your scores

repeat

do not send

your scores

until

your are admitted

I thought so. Does anyone know anything to the contrary?

I got the AP people to send a formal score report...it can't hurt (unless of course there is some score you want to hide)

There is no reason to send an AP report to the UCs until you are admitted. They don't want them. They really don't want them. (See Tboonepickens post above for specific intructions.) When you take your senior year AP tests next May, you will have already decided where you are going, and you will have the scores sent then (for free) by filling it in on your test booklet. If you sent them now, you would have to re-send your senior year scores anyway.

The UCs also don't want recommendation letters or transcripts.
