So I took one AP Test last May, and will be taking 6 this May.

I am looking on collegeboard right now, and it's 15 bucks a pop to send ap tests. I have 6 schools. I don't want to pay 90 bucks now and then some after May 2009 AP Tests.

What should I do? My transcript notes I took the AP gov't test, but they don't have the scores from collegeboard yet. Should I send in my one AP score asap?

Hope this makes sense...I'm a little tired!!!

I’d rather wait for the May tests and send the scores altogether… Just make sure that your counselor drops a note or something to notify the colleges about your unofficial test reports…

I agree with DaretoDream. AP scores usually aren’t considered during admissions, only during placement. Then in May you’d only need to send it to the one school that you’re enrolling in.

I know this is what people say all the time, and I know this is the company line, but I find it so difficult to believe that, say, getting all 5s on half a dozen difficult AP exams couldn’t give you a little boost in the admissions process, especially if you have grades and SATs to back it up. I could be totally off base here, but let’s just say it’s a gut sense.

That being said, go ahead and send in the unofficial scores, to all schools, if you so desire. It won’t cost you anything. But for placement, you need the official scores. And for placement, you only need to send them to your chosen school.
